When the sun goes down, pixies open their town in the tree !

This was my submission on Ancient Civilization contest. I couldn't satisfy my submission. I did more polishing on the scene.

I was planning the shape of the pixie town. It could be a cylinder shape, door shape or planet shape.

Since door shape could easy to make more depth of the town, I choose the door idea.

Designing the town was the most challenging part for me. Finding balance between easy-to-understand structure and unique building design was really difficult.

It was first time to make a vine myself. I wanted to make it tileable vine, but I didn't want to leave noticeable seam. I got rid of flying fishes idea, in order to concentrate pixie theme.

The girl character.
It has been 4 years since I made character model. I had considered to delete the girl character in the scene.
But she was only human character we could related to. Also, she was the connection between human and pixies.

I started placing vegetation on the scene , such as moss, grass and leaves.

Due to finish on contest deadline, I had to wrap up my work even it looked unfinished.
I put door texture on pixies' masks. I realized I forgot to put wood texture on the fence after finalized my submission.
